Our teaching style

At our studio, we believe in teaching with patience and inclusivity. No matter your pace or background, we welcome everyone with open arms. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to sports altogether, we want you to feel comfortable and supported throughout your journey with us.

Our program is designed to start from the very basics, so don't worry if you've never tried aerial sports before. We'll build up everything from the ground up, step by step, until you're able to achieve things you never thought possible.

One of our top priorities is creating a judgment-free environment. We've heard too many stories of students feeling insecure or judged at other studios, and we're determined to be different. We want our studio to be a safe, supportive space where everyone can feel encouraged and empowered.

We're all about constructive teaching here at Onensa. Our classes and events are carefully planned to make sure you get the most out of each session. We start with the fundamentals and work our way up, at a pace that suits you. And believe us, you'll see results! Not just in your skills, but in your confidence and overall well-being too.

We can't wait to welcome you to our community of amazing people who help and encourage each other so don't forget to book your spot

Meet our team

Hi, I'm Mea

Founder, teacher of all apparatuses

My name is Philomea Ruiter I'm the founder of Onensa and an aerial silk, stretching, and pole flow teacher, passionate about moving, flowing, and dancing.

My story begins in the Netherlands with my first pole dance class in 2013. I fell in love instantly. One year later, I was invited to take part in a Pole Teacher Training course. Once I finished the course, I taught pole dance classes for 2 years in my country.

In 2016, a new chapter started with my travels as I tried to find my purpose in life. It was 2 years before I decided to move to Romania, where I found my love for teaching and sharing my knowledge again. This made it possible for me to open my own studio, Onensa, in 2019, offering Aerial Silk, Pole Flow, and more.

I aim to teach in a patient, constructive, and loving way. With years of experience, I have created a program that starts easy and slowly builds up, allowing everyone to try aerial and grow together with the program. I hope to see you soon in one of my classes!

Hi there, I'm Catalina

Hammock teacher

Hello! I’m Catalina and I discovered aerial arts in 2024, when I gifted myself my very first aerial class. With a background in visual arts and years of practicing Shaolin Kung Fu, I found aerial to be the perfect meeting point between expression, strength, and presence.

What I love most about it is its endless potential for exploration. Every sequence feels like a new possibility, and I’m especially drawn to how much personal expression can be woven into each transition. I'm also curious by nature, which led me to explore other aerial apparatuses like Hoop and Pole. Each of them has a different kind of charm, and I love learning from all of them.

My goal is to create a space where students feel safe, challenged, and free to explore. Whether you’re here for expression, strength, or just to see what it’s like to hang upside down, I hope you leave feeling a little more connected, to movement, to yourself, and to the quiet joy that comes with being suspended in the air. — I’m excited to meet you.

Hei hei, I'm Edith

Aerial Hoop teacher

I fell in love with the hoop and never quite came back down.

I dance between aerial hoop and hammock, starting my journey in late 2023, when fabric, gravity, and curiosity pulled me into the air. Since then, hammock has taken me onto the competition floor, while hoop became my quiet obsession and personal language. A space for flow, strength, and self-expression wrapped in steel.

My style is unique, unconventional, and guided by feeling rather than rules. I care about lines, breath, and those moments when movement feels honest instead of perfect.

In my classes, my goal is to help people step out of their shell and be themselves. To trust their bodies, explore freely, and discover that the air can be a very kind place.

Welcome to my hoop classes!

Hiii, I'm Emese

Pole Flow teacher

I started my dance journey in 1997 and since then dancing has always been a big part of my life. Throughout the years I went through many dance styles (ballroom dancing, salsa, bachata, tango, etc.) and have won numerous national and international dance competitions.

Ever since I discovered pole dance, my world has changed completely. I find pole to be a very unique style, due to its difficulty compared to other dance styles, its complexity combining sport, dance, art, creativity and so much more. I love the fact that pole challenges me to get out of my comfort zone, makes me push my limits and develops me both physically and mentally.

Pole is also my therapy, and I cannot imagine my life without pole. In 2023 I started to participate in pole competitions and won a few medals. I love the process of creating a story with your choreography, making the ideas come together and also developing yourself even more by doing this.

You can come to me for choreo ideas, I will gladly offer you my support

Hey, I'm Emma

Pole Flow teacher

My name is Emma Henry, and I fell in love with pole dance in 2023.

I'm a veterinary student at the University of Cluj-Napoca. Out of curiosity, I walked through the doors of Onensa for the first time and out of passion, it quickly became my second home.

It was love at first sight with this beautiful discipline that combines strength, grace, flexibility, and emotion. I had never considered myself a dancer, even though I had always admired this sport. But now, I truly feel like one.

Pole dance is all about passion, patience, and motivation and I promise you, you’ll surprise yourself. You will discover a new side of yourself, and a new perspective on your body.

That’s why I can only encourage you to join us. Honestly, there’s no better place and no better community to grow with.

I hope to be part of your journey in this amazing adventure.

See you soon! 🌟

Hello, I'm Geo!

Aerial Silk teacher

My name is Georgiana Balabasciuc and my aerial journey started in January 2023.

I've always been drawn to art-related topics. As a child, I used to surprise my parents with my climbing abilities. As a teenager, I made knotted bracelets. Whenever I'm home alone, I dance around and train my flexibility. Summing these up, you can see why discovering aerial silk was revelatory for me.

My main profession is in the technical domain and my main passion is here, at Onensa, where I feel complete whenever I get to play with my creativity, learn new moves, challenge myself, and be inspired by this wonderful community that made me feel so much more connected - both to them and to myself.

I would have never imagined how much you can learn and grow in less than one year of practice - and the journey has just started.

As a people-oriented person, I know that all my motivation came from the amazing people I met since I joined the studio. I'm looking forward to transmit the joy of aerial arts. See you in class!

Heey, I'm Ioana

Stretching teacher

I am an accredited 600h Yoga Teacher.

I have been an active person all my life and have tried many types of sports, but I fell in love with Yoga in the summer of 2020 when I attended my first class in the park. Since then, I've been training and practicing almost daily. I love pushing my body, discovering myself through practice and learning to bend into beautiful shapes.

I have never been a flexible person so when I started discovering what my body can do, I knew I had to share this practice with others. After getting my first Yoga Teacher Certificate 200H in February 2023, I started teaching and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Since then I have deepened my knowledge with multiple courses, including a 300h teacher training.

Flexibility and mobility are a lifelong journey so regardless of your current level of strength and flexibility, join my classes and let's discover together how to bend beyond your limits!

Hi, I'm Julia

Exotic Pole teacher

My name is Iulia Leș and I’ve been teaching pole since 2022. My love for the aerial arts starts all the way back in 2020; when, after a crushing injury ended my professional ballet career, I was forced to look elsewhere for a purpose.

I have been dancing and doing sports ever since I was 6 and whenever someone asked me ‘’what I wanted to be when I grow up’’ I would just shrug my shoulders. All I knew was that dancing made me happy, so I pursued it with everything I had in me, and when I was 19 I got accepted into the conservatoire. My happiness was short lived, as I had unfortunately fractured my ankle, and suddenly my world came crashing down. I ended up studying Art Conservation and Restoration, and eventually discovered aerial; where I didn’t need my feet that much anyway!

I took my first pole class without expecting much and I couldn't say it was love at first sight, it was all too overwhelming and I felt weak. I dabbled in aerial hoop for a few months, returning with more strength and motivation, and this time I was able to find my true self and develop an authentic style through pole flow, exotic and contemporary-pole.

My goal is helping people connect to their bodies and especially to their divine feminine through movement that comes from the soul and spreading the joy of dance!

Hello! I'm Nicola

Hammock teacher

My name is Nicola and my aerial journey started in june 2023 with silk, apparatus that I fell in love at first sight.

Later, in January 2024 Onensa introduced hammock and I started training on it too and in 2025 I also introduced some begginer pole here and there in my routine. Before aerial arts my main sports background were dance and gym. I have experimented with every style of dance I had the opportunity.

I have already participated to shows and competitions (mostly hammock) and my love for scene is undeniable. I love the challenge of a new move and my days are so much better when I train.
Aerial arts are an amazing way to understand yourself, stay healthy and connect with other people.

Alexandra Sparky aerial silks teacher onesa studio cluj napoca

Hi! Call me Sparky

Aerial Silk teacher

My name is Alexandra Onofrei, but I’ve had this nickname since I was 13.

I fell in love with Aerial Silks sometime in March 2019 when I attended my first class, I was 27 at the time. Since then I've been avidly training, making me one of the studio’s most advanced students. I love making upside-down shapes and poses and hard-to-achieve climbs 😅.

When I touch the silks, audiences disappear, I fully commit to the movements, and focus deeply, that’s why I like performing (even though I’m an introvert). I love creating my own choreographies and never miss a chance to create one since our studio started showcasing them.

I performed at the Untold festival, Electric Castle festival on hot air balloons, on a crane in Zalau for the first time in Romania and at so many more events. I'm always open and looking forward to creating magical experiences for audiences.

I thought that this feeling was too good to keep to myself, so I decided to share my burning passion with others by teaching and I'm very proud of all my students.

Hei hei! I'm Tami!

Pole Flow teacher

My name is Tamara Ovari. I am a dedicated PhD student at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the Babeș-Bolyai University.

I found my life had always been entwined with the world of dance. My journey commenced back in the second grade, as I was drawn into the world of sports dance, which carried me through nine vibrant years of competitions.

After this, I ventured into the captivating worlds of salsa and bachata. I embraced the Latin rhythms, attending festivals and even taking the stage in electrifying dance performances.

Then, the world faced a sudden intermission as the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe. Dancing with a partner was no longer possible, and my longing for movement and expression became palpable. It was during this time that I stumbled upon pole dancing, a mesmerizing blend of strength and grace.

Pole dancing became a means of staying active, channeling my love for dance, and building physical and mental strength.
