What you need to know about Pole Flow

So what's Pole Flow?

The pole is a great tool to dance with because it gives extra stability, an extra arm, extension, or whatever you want to call it.

About the apparatus

A vertical, metal bar on which we can do elegant, speedy, sensual, or strong movements.

So how does Pole help you?

You gain strength, flexibility, and confidence. You'll work out your entire body, from your legs, back, and abs, to your shoulders, arms, and hands.

It helps you with coordination and to become more conscious and intentional about how you move.

Do I need to be strong or flexible to join a class?

Nope! We have students who have never done any kind of sport before and some who haven't done any for a very long time. The only thing you do need is the courage to sign up for your first class.

Our Pole Flow classes

So you have a beginner class?

Yes! We teach you everything you need to know and help you gain strength over the course of 12 classes. We guarantee that by the end, you'll know all the basics like climbing, sitting, and moving around the pole.

When can I join a beginner class?

You can join Beginner 1 classes anytime. Beginner 2 classes are for those who have completed Beginner 1.

If you don't see Beginner 1 classes in our schedule, you can send us a message. If there is enough interest we will add one. If not, you can join Open Training classes to catch up and join the group. Just make sure you pick classes where a teacher for your discipline is teaching.

What do I need to wear or bring?

  • Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely, ideally shorts. Your skin needs to make contact with the pole for you to do most poses.

  • Do not wear any rings or bracelets on your hands and wrists. They can cause injuries and damage the apparatuses.

  • Bring a bottle of water, it's important to stay hydrated.

Here's everything else you need to know before joining us

What about other levels?

Of course! Unlike the Beginner module where we learn the basics step by step, we have Spinning,  and Flow (also known as Exotic) classes. We practice sequences or combinations of moves over the course of 6 weeks. We also focus more on conditioning, practicing poses, and sequences both on and off the pole. Our classes have their own level, like Intermediate or Advanced but we also have some in which different levels come together.

What's Spinning Pole?

In the beginner module the pole is static (this means it doesn't turn), but in this class, the pole spins. Gravity is not only pulling us down but also out. It's a bit harder, but we learn to play with these forces while making different shapes.

What's Pole Flow (Exotic)?

In this class, we put our (platform) heels on! It's an entirely different experience to dance on them. We dance more around the pole and learn about coordination, how to move sensually and express ourselves.

P.S. You can also join the class without heels.

We also offer a variety of events like photoshoots, workshops, and performance days to help you elevate your pole skills.

How much does a class cost?

We have different types of memberships and payment options for every budget. Check out our Prices page to learn more.
